How many of you would say, YES I WANT MORE?
Maybe you watched my last episode, when I talked about “Grow Through, What You Go Through,” challenging us to see that God wants to bless us WAY MORE than we can ever imagine, if we can just trust him with our pain.
And today, I want to challenge you to pray this courageous prayer…
A prayer for BLESSING that you’ll find tucked away in I Chronicles 4:10
The Prayer of Jabez….
Oh that you would bless me, expand my territory, be with me in all that I do, and keep me safe” And God granted him his request. (NLT)
You might be thinking, how’s is it COURAGEOUS to ask for God to bless you? Maybe you see that as a selfish prayer and NOT COURAGEOUS one!!!
What would you’re life look like if God where to GRANT YOU YOUR REQUEST?
Let me ask you another way.
What if all the prayers you prayed just in this past week were all answered? Would the world around you be better or just YOUR world? And while there’s nothing wrong with asking God for a better Job, or a bigger house, because He may very well bless you that way.
But what does BLESSING even mean?
If your praying it as Jabaz did, what do you think he was crying out for when he said, OH GOD BLESS ME?
BLESSING MEANS – Divine favor and protection.
So if your praying for God’s favor, that is when things get interesting.
Do you have the COURAGE to pray this prayer today?
God! YOU BLESS me! In YOUR way, YOUR timing and YOUR will NOT MINE? Because when you allow God to work IN YOU, he WILL do TREMENDOUS THINGS THROUGH YOU! And bless you more than you could EVER IMAGINE!
Now to HIM who’s able to do FAR MORE than we can EVER ask or think, thank you for joining me in the adventure of discovering God’s intended MORE for YOUR life.
