Each month I interview some amazing people with incredible stories of courage. It is my prayer that these stories will empower you to choose courage when you are faced with some “bigger than you” life struggles!

Hearing this song, in light of hearing the news of my dear friend Dr. Garry E. Milley, who passed away in his sleep this past week, was what inspired me to write this blog for you today. Dr. Milley was my professor, a mentor, and dear friend, and I pray you are encouraged, as I share some golden nuggets from our interview, that I always PLANNED on sharing.
Life threatening illness, loss, depression, anxiety, the list of giants we have to face are endless.
Unfortunately there will always be something to fight through!!! That’s the harsh reality of life. But what I have come to realize is that we can’t always control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond.

Contagious Courage! What is the back story of MY story of courage? How was I able to go from a life of brokenness and hopelessness to living a life of hope and contagious courage? Well in this LOOKING BACK CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, I want to relive this segment from my NIGHT OF COURAGE gala, to encourage you that you see, you can move forward in spite of overwhelming fears and insecurities . But also see, that “I’m not courageous because I don’t ever fear, I am courageous because I don’t let fear control me.”
