In a time where fear and uncertainty is on the rise, we need to find ways to encourage each other now more than ever so HOPE AND COURAGE CAN RISE
I have taken this clip from NIGHT OF COURAGE in hopes that it will ignite your heart with hope, so you can find the courage to BE BRAVE, and take back anything that fear has stolen from you.
I am excited to share some inspiration from Going Farther’s NIGHT OF COURAGE with you, and the many people who contributed to making this night a success.
While I will be airing the entire NIGHT OF COURAGE SOON, I want to begin with the Monologue – My Name is fear. One of my favorite moments of the night.
And side note, you’ll probably hear me say that a lot. Because it ALL was my favorite. Which I’m sure you’ll understand.

MY NAME IS FEAR!
Some call me pride, while others call me doubt, but my real name is fear!
I am a thief. I steal life. I steal confidence. I steal your hopes and your dreams. I steal your peace. My name is Fear.
I cause anger, jealously and pride to thrive in people.
I am so powerful in your life, that you sometimes feel lost without me.
You used to know me as the monster in your closet. Now you know me as the monster in your everyday, I keep you from living the life you want to live.
You let me own you. You let me control you. You let me slow you to a ridiculously boring pace. My name is Fear and you all too well know my face.
My name is fear and I keep you in slavery to your addiction. My Name is fear, and I keep kings from becoming kings.
My name is Fear, and I stop willing hearts from doing much of anything. I’ve held back helping hands. I’ve sent armies marching through lands. I’ve forced you to sit down and not take a righteous stand. That’s what I do.
I ’m welcome here, I know that’s true, because well…otherwise, I wouldn’t be here with you. But you want to know a secret that’s not really a secret at all? I may feel powerful…but I’m very weak.
I don’t exist if you don’t let me. I don’t survive if you don’t feed me. I won’t live if you kill me. But you don’t. My name is Fear. But, you see, I can’t stay if you don’t let me. I can’t win if you best me. I can be broken if you just break me. But you don’t
