Kaleo (with Layna Haley)

Being a mom is a hard job; being a single mom is even harder.

Kaleo is a Christian organization founded by Layna Haley, to bring hope, love, and connection to vulnerable families in the Greater St. Albert area by supporting and strengthening women. We do this through the development and implementation of “Connected Communities” support programs.

Each year over 3,000 women and children are positively impacted through our programs; most are repeat customers. We believe strength and healing come from understanding your value and worth, learning new skills, engaging in meaningful community and serving others.

Connected Community Support Programs Weekly:

Single Moms Support Group 6 week program focusing on helping to remove barriers single mothers face

Kaleo Play program facilitated by a mother with a B.Ed. A place for mothers and children to bond and make friendships.

#kaleoblessing Campaign random acts of kindness in St. Albert (notes of encouragement left on vehicle windows, inside library books, flowers to nursing home residents, cookies to hospital staff etc)

Monthly:
Speakers Series/Prayer Night – community outreach event on a topic of relevance, and prayer
