Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?

In today’s post, I have a special guest, Danielle Macaulay. And I’d like to tell you a little bit about her book: Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?

This is a book for women about how they can learn to get along with almost anyone.

Yes, even her.

Have you ever wondered “Why does this girl hate me?” or even “Why do I hate her?” Danielle has answers and shares actionable solutions for you. Not because she’s perfect… In fact, you’re going to find out fast she has been both “the hater” and “the hated.” She’ll share real and very raw stories of girls hating her without knowing her, and at other times, how she, herself, was so jealous of another woman that she cheered for her to fail!

Danielle is not proud of this. But, it forced her to dig into the Bible and find some great help that she’s passing on to you. And she knows this will change your life because it has changed hers! That girl she used to hate with her whole heart? Is now her BEST FRIEND! There has been healing, forgiveness, and complete transformation.

This can be the case for you as well.

Get ready to get very real and laugh along the way, as Danielle exposes her heart and gives practical advice for conquering these relationship-busting problems we all know all too well.

Yes, she’s going there!

About Danielle

Danielle Macaulay is an author, blogger, speaker, and television personality on the marriage television show “A Better Us” (abetterus.tv). She is passionate about her marriage to her husband, recording artist Dan Macaulay (danmacaulay.com), her two young boys, Keaton and Braden, and about helping women grow in their faith (she isn’t afraid to admit she’s also passionate about donuts, Hallmark movies, and the spa).

She provides regular nourishment for both your body and soul at her popular blog spot frommilktomeat.com and offers families spiritual nourishment and kid-friendly recipes in her children’s mealtime devotionals, “Table Talk: Family Dinner Devos” and “Table Talk 2: A Second Helping”.

What I Learned

Here are some take away’s from my time with Danielle today that I KNOW will help you and challenge you to find unity in your relationships!

  • Stop the comparison
  • Find a mentor and someone who’s willing to walk with you
  • Do the RIGHT THINGS until you have the RIGHT FEELINGS
  • Do what you know IS RIGHT and the feeling WILL follow
  • Gratitude is a RIGHT thing
  • Focus on YOUR blessings NOT others
  • Be content
  • Turn your envy into inspiration – GET TO KNOW THE person or try to understand them before being envious
  • Close your computer and open your Bible
  • Admire someone’s beauty, talent, gifting or calling without questioning your own

The overarching message that I found was that you need to focus on doing the right things and zero in on your own blessings that God has given you. When you start shifting your focus this way, you’ll find yourself living a life of less envy and more gratefulness.
