James H. Brown’s commitment to seriously injured persons and their families comes from firsthand experience. At age 7 James H. Brown was diagnosed with a rare hip ailment which resulted in him being bedridden for a year and spending another year in a wheelchair. The Brown family never gave up hope that James would one day walk again, but never dreamt that he would one day go on to play competitive hockey. But tragedy struck again. James had just started a promising hockey career with the Edmonton Oil Kings when his life was forever changed as a result of a head-on collision with an uninsured driver. Brown woke up, unable to move, in a hospital bed with a broken neck. His struggle back to health taught him just how much a devastating injury can affect someone’s life. Brown credits this experience with being the motivational force behind his law firm’s commitment to seriously injured persons and their families.
